So this weekend we decided to head over to a new venue that just opened their doors in Woodside, Queens, NY. At first we didn’t know what to expect. We thought that it would be your usual Queens lounge/club where they ram pack the place and you can barely walk your way to the lavatory, but what a surprise did we encounter.
Talk about bringing Soho, NY or the Lower East Side, NY into Queens! If you’re from or if you like to pass time in Astoria, Queens then you know that the neighborhood is full of hookah lounges or lounges/bars that become clubs on the weekend. However, when we walked into Room 54 we noticed that this was a venue that would stand out like no other in the area. Not only because we were greeted with open arms, but the great waitress and bartender who were serving us were very hospitable.
We have to say that we would recommend this venue to anyone. Whether you want to take your co-workers, your significant other, or just want to have a laid back, but good ole time then I would suggest you head over to Room 54. Especially with us, who are constantly attending events, sometimes you just want to be in a low-key environment.
If you’re into a venue that allows you to wind down from a hard day at the office and you might just want to relax or chill out, then we would suggest heading over to Room 54 for some hookah and a full bar where you’re able to get any drink of your taste. If you don’t believe us here at the Argyleculture offices, then just head over if you’re in the New York area and you just so happen to step into Astoria, Queens. It’s literally a 15-20 minute right on the R or M train or a 10-15 minute cab ride from the city. It’s not the biggest venue, but it’s just right.
Check it out if you’re in the area. Room 54, 54-11 Northern Blvd., Woodside, NY and ask for Jaime. I’m sure he’ll take care of you if you tell him you read about his place through us.
PS: Make sure to check out the artwork on the walls. It fits the venue perfectly.

Cheers,
The Argyle Team
